Dr. Robert H. Zax
Dr. Zax is one of the few doctors in the Louisville area qualified to perform Mohs micrographic surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, and is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Zax is active in community service and was named one of the “Best Doctors in America” (1999-2000, 2001-2002, and 2005-2006) and “Best Doctors in the City of Louisville” (2005).
Dr. Vilma Fabre
Vilma Fabre graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine (1980) and holds a B.A in Chemistry from Emory University (Phi Beta Kappa), Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine and Dermatology at the University of Alabama Medical Center and is Board Certified in both specialties. She also completed her fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Alabama Medical Center and is Board Certified. In 1996, she opened a dermatopathology laboratory in Louisville that receives referral skin specimens and consultations from dermatologists and other specialties throughout the metropolitan area, the state and surrounding region. Also, Dr. Fabre is a clinical associate professor in the Division of Dermatology at the University of Louisville Medical School.
Dr. Andrea S. Burch
Dr. Burch completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, and is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, 2001, Summa Cum Laude. She completed a Dermatology residency and Dermatopathology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota (2001-2006). Dr. Burch is a Diplomat (board certified) of the American Board of Dermatology and is board certified in Dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology.
Heather J. Mucci, Nurse Practitioner
Heather holds a Masters in Science Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, 2004, and Bachelors in Science Nursing, 1998. Both degrees are from the University of Louisville. She has nearly 10 years of experience in nursing and has served as a clinical instructor of Women’s Health at Bellarmine University. A member of the Southern Nursing Research Society and Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, Heather has completed Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
William B. Warrick, Physician Assistant
William holds a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky, a fully accredited physician assistant program, 2004. William has specialized experience in dermatology, including preliminary diagnosis, lesion treatment, and supervised surgical removal of a wide range of skins conditions, both benign and malignant.
